Limited Stay Visa

The Limited Stay Visa (VITAS) is issued to foreign nationals intending to reside in Indonesia for a medium to long-term period for purposes such as employment, investment, education, family reunion, or retirement.

Eligible Purposes for VITAS :

Employment as skilled worker, manager, director, or commissioner

Capital investment as individual or corporate investor

Academic studies or formal education

Family reunification (spouse, parent, child)

Joining Indonesian spouse (mixed marriage)

Retirement stay for elderly foreign nationals

Duration and Conditions :

Initial stay: 6 months, 1 year, or 2 years

Extendable up to 5 years or convertible to Permanent Stay Permit (ITAP)

VITAS holders must report and apply for KITAS upon arrival

Allows for family sponsorship, child education, or work permit (depending on category)
